Continuing to support all children
During any period of school closure, we aim to help all children to continue with their learning remotely while they are at home. Staff will provide learning for all year groups. The expectation is that pupils to continue their learning for 3 hours for EYFS and key stage 1 and 4 hours for key stage 2.
Our primary platform for this, while a whole class is working from home, will be through Class dojo. If individuals are having to isolate at home, then separate work will be sent home by the class teacher .
During whole class/school closure the class teaching team will set work across the day at timetabled intervals for the children to access as they would in school. We are aware that for many families this timing may not be convenient and thus will remain available on the class pages for you complete at your convenience. The teaching team will be on hand at all times during the school day to support and help with any questions around the work and give feedback for all submitted work.
We have also listed a number of other places where you may be able to access a wide range of activities to supplement the tasks set by the teacher.
Please do what you are able to do. If you get the opportunity to do a different activity please feel free to share that with your teacher also.
The teaching team will keep in contact with you each week and may call you to offer support at times, but please remember we are all still here for you to help in any way we can.
You are all doing an amazing job in such difficult circumstances. If you are unsure of anything please get in touch.
