Week beginning 17th October
After writing their biographies/fact files on Gustav Klimt, the children used his style as insipiration to paint their own version of 'The Tree of Life' and re-created his most expensive painting using oil pastels - 'Adele Bloch-Bauer' (sold for over 100 million dollars!). I have been extremely impressed with their dedication and efforts this week. Well done Year 6!
We had an amazing introduction to International Artist Week. Our class is studying the Austrian artist, Gustav Klimt, and Monday afternoon was spent with a lady from the Art Workshop, painting Klimt-style art onto canvas and creating Klimt-style patterns in clay.
