It has been a wonderful start to the week, with pupils showing great enthusiasm and motivation in their learning as we continue to prepare for SATs.

This week, we have been focusing on the properties of shapes, with a particular emphasis on angles.

Key learning about angles:

• We used a protractor to measure angles accurately
• We identified and understood different types of angles:
  • Acute angles
  • Obtuse angles
  • Reflex angles
• A right angle measures 90°
• A full turn is 360°
• Angles on a straight line add up to 180°
• We applied this knowledge to calculate:
  • Vertically opposite angles
  • Adjacent angles
