Week 5 and 6
I have really enjoyed teaching you all this half term and have been so proud of the effort you have put into your learning. You have been working really hard in all of your lessons, challenging yourselves, building your confidence and making some fantastic progress. It has been wonderful to see you developing new skills, growing in independence and always trying your best, even when things feel a little tricky. Keep up the amazing work!
Here are a few pictures from today’s rewards morning, where we celebrated all your hard work. The tug of war certainly got quite competitive! It was lovely to see you all having fun and enjoying some well-deserved rewards.
Have a wonderful, restful break. You have all earned it! I look forward to seeing you back soon, ready for another exciting half term of learning, growing and achieving together.

This Week in Year 3/4
This week in English, we have continued reading our story, The Seed of Doubt. We wrote letters to the boy in the story, who was ready to give up on his dreams. We thought carefully about the advice we could offer him and used conjunctions to link our sentences and make our writing more interesting.
In Maths, we have been practising adding and subtracting 1s, 10s, 100s and 1,000s. We used place value charts and counters to help us understand how the digits change when we add or subtract different amounts. We have also been developing our confidence in using these methods to solve calculations.
