Sports Premium is additional funding given to schools to improve physical education and sports. At St Bernard’s, we recognise the importance of physical activity and the many benefits that this can have on children’s health, wellbeing, and social development. We place a high emphasis on high quality teaching across the curriculum and strive to deliver excellent learning experiences in the classroom and beyond.

Our Sports Premium is spent on creating more opportunities for pupils to enjoy a variety of sports and learn new skills through lunchtime activities, after-school clubs, and participation in Manchester Schools’ PE Association games.
