Governors
Governors
School governors are volunteers that provide support and steer the strategic direction of the school, ensuring that it delivers the best possible education to its pupils. At St Bernard’s RC Primary School, we also have Foundation Governors, who are responsible for preserving the Catholic character of the school, promoting pupils’ moral and spiritual development alongside their academic attainment.
Members of the Governing Board come from different backgrounds and areas of expertise, including parents, staff, individuals from the local authority, the parish, and wider community.
The Governors at St Bernard’s are extremely passionate about supporting pupils and broadening their life chances. With high aspirations for all children, they meet regularly with the senior leadership team and motivate staff to keep raising standards further.
