Week beginning 20th April

Our worship this morning focused on the road to Emmaus. We learnt we can see Jesus in other people by their actions- showing kindness, being helpful and friendly. We’re looking out for people in our class that show these qualities. We were very busy with our grown up afterwards completing tasks in the classroom linked to plants and growing.

We’ve been digging and planting outside and we looked at different types of seeds and smelled some herbs. Someone in our class even recognised the basil plant 🪴 smelt like pesto. We listened to the story Sam plants a sunflower and watched a Timelapse video of a sunflower growing. This week we’re going to plant our own sunflower seeds and see if they grow.

We enjoyed hearing all about Bernie’s fantastic weekend adventures too!

In maths Reception have been learning about why some 3D shapes stack and some don’t and identifying those that do. Nursery have been comparing small amounts of objects.

other wonderful outdoor learning...

Our caterpillars are growing fast! We’re keeping an eye on them to see the changes!

We’ve been learning about Pentecost and we took our streamers outside to feel the wind like in them Bible story.

Nursery have been making their own Jaspers beanstalk zig zag books.

Reception have been on a 3D shapes hunt around our classroom and outdoors.

We officially opened our garden centre today. Business got very busy very quickly! Customers were writing lists, shopping, planting and counting money!
