As promised, here are our finished persuasive leaflets to encourage visitors to explore Manchester...
Along with the rest of Year 4, Bernie is thoroughly enjoying our class read ‘The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane’ by Kate DiCamillo and he is desperate to know where Edward ends up next on his travels... Our current guided reading book is about a vain, self-centred porcelain rabbit named Edward, who is unfortunately separated from his loving owner, Abilene. Throughout his long, perilous journey spanning several years—from the ocean floor to the hands of various owners, including a fisherman and a homeless man and dog — Edward has been experiencing heartbreak, loss, and kindness from various new owners along the way. These experiences have been teaching him to open his heart, transforming him into a compassionate little rabbit who learns the true meaning of giving and receiving true love.
It's been a lovely, sunny week, meaning that we were able to enjoy ice pops in the forest for Golden Time...
