Coffee Morning Tuesday 8th November
Tue 08 Nov 2022A huge thank you to those parents who came along this morning. We had a good chat about Reading and Mrs Phillips explained our new Phonics Programme, Read, Write, Inc. We also had a chat about all our plans for Christmas. Parents had the chance to book their Parents Evening appointment with help from Mrs Thorley too. We look forward to seeing you at the next one in January (see calendar).

Behaviour in School
Sat 05 Nov 2022This week our children attended mass to celebrate All Saints Day and the parishioners were overwhelmingly positive about the standard of behaviour displayed by the children. We also had a special guest this week who came to look at learning in all of our classrooms - she too felt that the children's behaviour, both towards their work and towards each other was excellent. A very proud week at St Bernard's!

Poppies Now Available
Sat 05 Nov 2022All this week (7th - 11th November) we will be providing poppies to the children for a small donation to The British Legion. Please send your donation in with your child and our older children will provide their poppy and help them to put it on.

Remembrance Day Friday 11th November
Sat 05 Nov 2022On Friday, we will be marking Remembrance Day with the children. Children in Ms Cant's, Ms Phillips' & Ms Dolan's class will do this together in the portcabin at 9am and all our other classes will join the national routine of marking it across 11am (starting at approximately 10.50am). Parents are welcome to join us. Please report to the main office where you will be shown through.

Children's Champions Meeting (PTA)
Sat 05 Nov 2022Our next meeting takes place straight after school in the portacabin on Tuesday 8th November. Please come along. If you haven't joined us previously, there will be a warm welcome ready for you - we would love to have your support and some new faces.

Gymnastics and Dodgeball Clubs
Sat 05 Nov 2022Our new after school clubs start this week for parents who have booked and paid for a place. Gymnastics takes place on Tuesday and Dodgeball on Thursday. Please pick up at 4.20pm from the usual gate.

Fri 04 Nov 2022Booking is now open for parents to book this term's Parents Evening. You will have been emailed a link from School Cloud. Please follow this link to book a slot with your child's class teacher.
