  • Heartstone Project for year 5 and 6

    Wed 09 Nov 2022

Year 5 and 6 attended an assembly today to find out more about a project Burngage youth team accross the road at 'N-Gage' are running. The project will be run on a Tuesday or Thursday evening at the centre and will involve art, drama and literacy linked to the book 'The Heartstone Odyssey'. This is a great opportunity to link up with N-Gage in an after school project and as the project is run up and down the country they are looking at ways to expand and become involved in further projects too. Please look out for a letter in the children's bags this evening and return the forms by Wednesday 16th November to express your interest.

  • Coffee Morning Tuesday 8th November

    Tue 08 Nov 2022 C. Breeze

A huge thank you to those parents who came along this morning.  We had a good chat about Reading and Mrs Phillips explained our new Phonics Programme, Read, Write, Inc. We also had a chat about all our plans for Christmas.  Parents had the chance to book their Parents Evening appointment with help from Mrs Thorley too.  We look forward to seeing you at the next one in January (see calendar).

  • Behaviour in School

    Sat 05 Nov 2022 C. Breeze

This week our children attended mass to celebrate All Saints Day and the parishioners were overwhelmingly positive about the standard of behaviour displayed by the children.  We also had a special guest this week who came to look at learning in all of our classrooms - she too felt that the children's behaviour, both towards their work and towards each other was excellent.  A very proud week at St Bernard's!
