  • Our Little Athletes

    Thu 20 Mar 2025 C. Breeze

Continuing our strong commitment to sport, our youngest children have been practising jumping outside in the sunshine. With lots of energy, they have been learning how to co-ordinate their eyes with their legs and learning how to balance correctly. Working on the big muscles in the body helps to develop the smaller muscles that we need for writing so lots of progress made in this session. Meanwhile Y1&2 have been learning how to exercise their bodies with some expert gymnastic moves. Brilliant work everyone!

Have you seen how many opportunities we have created for parents to come in and join us…? We believe every child’s education is a joint effort between home and school so we have been delighted to open our doors and invite our parents and carers in to work alongside us, see how we teach and experience the joy of learning with the children. If you want to be as involved in school life as possible - St Bernard’s is the place to be!

  • Fantastic French!

    Wed 12 Mar 2025 C. Breeze

Our older children have had a brilliant opportunity to watch, and take part in, a French play at Burnage Academy for Boys. This provided a great chance for everyone to practise their French flare alongside the young people and adults from one of our closest neighbours. Très bien!

  • Stay & Pray

    Tue 11 Mar 2025 C. Breeze

Our beautiful new initiative in school, Stay & Pray, brings us all together as Pilgrims of Hope to celebrate the Gospel message each Monday. With parents and carers joining us, we experience peace, quiet and stillness and we try to hear how God is guiding us for the week ahead. So lovely to see so many of you joining us for this.

  • A Wonderful World Book Day!

    Thu 06 Mar 2025 C. Breeze

What a fantastic World Book Day we have had! All dressed in our pyjamas we have explored so many different stories, creating characters based on our recent mental health work and writing poetry that we then performed for our grown ups. Thank you so much for coming in to join us in class - it was great to share this day with our parents and carers.
