Our Brand New Choir.......!
Wed 19 Oct 2022Today, the children in Key Stage 2 were invited to join our brand new choir - and what a turn out we had! Luke, who is training for the priesthood with Monsignor Michael, is leading our choir and he will be preparing them for their first performance at our Christmas Carol Concert on Thursday 15th December. Luke has asked that the children listen to the carol, 'O Holy Night' on YouTube over the half term to help them learn their first song. Well done to everyone who joined in!

Black History Week
Sat 08 Oct 2022Black History Week
Our school promotes equality of opportunity and diversity. Our intent is that pupils understand, appreciate and respect difference in the world and its people, celebrating the things we share in common across cultural, religious, ethnic and socio-economic communities. Black History week and month is a great platform from which to encourage celebration and recognition of the contribution of Black People to the UK and the world throughout the year.
During our Black History Week we hope to implement a range of engaging activities to interest and enthuse our pupils under the theme wellness and health.
We have carefully chosen locally important figures as well as international musicians and historically significant people in order to make our children’s learning experiences relevant and memorable.
By drawing on the rich resources in our locality such as Burnage Library and Central Library we will provide live activities, zoom workshops, poet interviews and even a chance to meet one of our chosen significant people.
See below for each class's focus for the celebration.
Visit the Gallery next week to have a look at all of our wonderful work!

Christmas Cards
Thu 06 Oct 2022It may seem a little early but, this week, our children have been working on their Christmas card designs. This project, supported by The Children's Champions, will be one of our main fundraisers this year. Your child will soon bring home their design, ready to be professionally printed into a set of cards that you can send to all of your family and friends at Christmas. The ordering process is very straightforward and your support will bring in vital funds for us to spend on the children at school. We hope you will feel able to support us and well done to all of our children for their beautiful work!
