• Website Photography

  Our photographer is in school on Tuesday 11th October to take professional shots for our website.  We would love to be able to show all of our wonderful children off, at work and at play.  Please make sure you have updated your consent for this through the data collection sheet sent out last week.  Many thanks.

• Bikeability

• Year 4 Trip to Manchester Art Gallery

  On Thursday 6th October, Year 4 will be having a very special day at Manchester Art Gallery.  All details have been provided to parents by Ms Hill.  We hope they have a wonderfully creative day and we look forward to seeing the photos.

  

• Football Practice Session (Set 1 & 2)

  On Wednesday 5th October, both Set 1 and Set 2 are invited to a special practice at Burnage Academy for Boys at 3.15pm in preparation for our forthcoming tournament.  Children will walk from school with staff. Parents are asked to collect their children from Burnage Academy at 4.15pm.

   

  Our tournament takes place, again at Burnage Academy, on Thursday 13th October against a number of other schools and Set 1 and 2 are invited to play / watch.  Children will walk there at 3.15pm with staff.  Parents are welcome to watch the tournament.  Pick up will be at approximately 4.45pm.

   

  If you do not want your child to attend either of these sessions, please email the school office to advise us of this.

• The Rosary Liturgy

  On Monday 3rd October at 9am, parents of Year 1 and Year 4 are warmly invited to join us at 9am for a special liturgy marking the start of our dedication to The Rosary.  Please drop off as normal and come round to the front door where you will be shown through to either the main hall (for Year 4) or the portacabin (for Year 1).

• Data Collection Forms

  Data collection forms will be sent out this week seeking an update on data relating to your child.  We are also updating our permissions for use of photographs.  We really want our website to come alive with photographs of our wonderful children at work and at play.  Our photographer is due in on the 11th October to take shots for our website - the completion of this form is therefore vital so that we have your consent for this activity and for all weekly updates to the Class Pages.

• PE Kits for Autumn / Winter

  As Games lessons take place outside, your child is invited to bring in plain, dark jogging bottoms to wear during PE.

• Jungle Day

  Thursday 6th October is Jungle Day!  Your child is invited to wear non uniform in jungle colours of their choice (whichever colours you choose is absolutely fine!) and they are invited to have a jungle themed lunch (please see attached poster).  There is no need to send a packed lunch on this day - ALL CHILDREN will be offered a jungle themed meal.

  

• The Barlow RC High School Open Evening 6.10.22, 5 - 7pm

  Children and parents of Years 5&6 are warmly invited to attend this event as part of the process of choosing and applying for a high school place.

• Library Visits

  Mrs Rhodes has organised for some of our classes to visit our local Library in the coming weeks.  Please look out for communications from staff and ask your children about their visit when they have been.
