We’ve had a wonderful week this week, in spite of the heat wave!!! We ended our RE unit with a lovely collective worship in the forest, which the children planned themselves. They chose to centre themselves with a focus of blue cloth to represent the river that the Ethiopian was baptised in, a cross to represent Jesus, a candle to show the light of the Holy Spirit and used scripture from the Galatians and Corinthians to focus on the Good News Paul shared of the Holy Spirit. In topic, we focused on the effects pollution is having on our oceans and what we can do to save them. We also learnt how to do a running stitch and cross stitch in preparation for our sewing unit on cushions. Finally, in golden time, we made cards for a special someone in our lives!
