Pentecost
As part of our Transformation topic in RE we have been deepening our understanding of the Pentecost and the events that surround it. Children enjoyed discussing the Pentecost and putting the scripture into drama which the children performed to each other. A really enjoyable way to enhance our understanding and learning.
Empathy Day
Chidlren visited the Velodrome to take part in Empathy Day Live. The Velodrome itself was an interesting building to visit and children were excited by the size and importance of the venuie. During the event children met authors including Sophie Henn, Rob Biddulph and Rashmi Sirdeshpande.
Teachers and children received a goody bag and the event was broadcast live. The mayor of Manchester was there and children spotted their car with the Manchester emblem parked outside.
We hope the event has inspired our budding writers and illustrators even more.
