St Margaret's Church Visit
As part of our RE topic, Ecumenism, we visited another Christian church.
We received such a friendly welcome from Steph and Matt. It was fascinating to learn about this 150 year old church and to explore every corner of it.
Children (and Mrs Rhodes) particularly enjoyed ringing the bell and news of our visit could be heard back at St Bernard's.
Looking forward to visiting the church again in the future!
CARITAS
We welcomed Kathryn from CARITAS into our classroom to share her knowledge about CARITAS and the work that they do in the Salford diocese and across the world.
In RE and PSHE we have been learning about charitable organisations and people with a particular mission and vocation.
Children listened attentively and asked mature and meaningful questions. It was a lovely, thoughtful discussion about mission, life and their future lives and jobs.
