Week beginning 17th October
We are having a wonderful time during International Artists week. We are learning about the Russian artist Kandinsky who used lots of shapes and colour in his abstract work. We have been listening to Russian classical music while we've worked, just like he did. Have a look at some of the wonderful things we have been creating.
We worked with an artist who showed us how to use marbling inks to create wonderful patterns. We had so much fun making them and we put all of our fabulous work together to create a display in the style of Kandinsky.

We've been learning about colour mixing and even looked at a local artist's work who is related to Mrs Cummings.
Nursery have been having fun taking part in some listening games this week too! They're getting really good at focusing their listening now!
We've also been drawing self portraits using a photo of ourselves as a guide and cutting out shapes to make pictures in the style of Kandinsky
