Week beginning 27th February

This half term our topic is Traditional Tales. We begin this week with the Gingerbread Man.  The children have been listening to and retelling the story today. We have decorated our door for World Book day and we have been busy making our world book day masks for the catwalk! Such a busy but exciting start to the term.

Today the children have been “hot seating” pretending to be one of the characters from the story while the other children ask questions! They were fantastic!

Then some children even made some gingerbread men!

Wow! What a wonderful World book day! We’ve had so much fun! We visited the “ come dine with me” dining room and guessed the book each dish was from!  We took part in a lovely puppet workshop.  We had a story read by the Year 4 teacher Miss Hill and of course we finished the day with our mask catwalk! Well done everyone! Take a look at some of our pictures!

We also attended a Cafod assembly telling us about the Big Lenten Walk we’re taking part in.

Wow look at some of our writing! We’ve been writing speech bubbles from our story.

Following on from our interactive puppet workshop yesterday, today we made our own frog puppets with the ladies from positive puppets.

As if we hadn’t had enough fun, then we made our own wooden spoon book characters! We’re going to finish them next week! What a fabulous week!
