Week beginning 17th October

What a busy week!!!!!

We have had a lovely week learning all about Picasso, producing some super art work and enjoyed a trip to Burnage Library... we even got to see the gigantic holes in the road on our way to the library and the powerful ‘sucker machine’ that hoovered the mud out of the ground!

On Friday morning it was great to see our families in school looking at our art work. Thank you for supporting the children.

Have a look at a snapshot of our week....

We looked at a portrait by Pablo Picasso. We used a range of pencils to shade and we created our own black and white versions of Picasso’s work. We then made our own portraits in the style of Picasso.

We worked with a visiting artist to create Picasso style faces using collage shapes. Look at our super work!

During art week, we have been mixing paints to make new colours. The children had fun using primary colours to mix together to make secondary colours. We practised making the colours lighter and darker.

Burnage Library trip. Well done children; you were super!!!

Golden time: today we enjoyed using some new Lego and being creative with it. Some children made a castle on our loose parts table for the alien Lego people to visit when they come to planet Earth!!!!
