Week beginning 13th March
Today we set up an investigation to see what happens when we put food colouring in water and add sticks of celery to it. We made some great scientific predictions and can’t wait to check it again to see what we find in the morning!
What a busy start to the week already! It’s been nice to see some of the children trying out areas which they might not normally play in.
This week we are reading Jack and the beanstalk and today we’ve planted our own beans to see if we can grow our own beanstalk. I wonder whose will grow the tallest?
We visited the Children’s Champions gift shop today! There are some very lucky mummies out there but they’ll have to wait until Sunday for their surprises!
We checked on our celery investigation today and we were amazed to see that some of the leaves had started to turn red and blue from the food colouring we’ll check again tomorrow!
This morning we have been making connections by using our sense of smell to sniff different things and guess what the items are. We had so much fun. The children made some amazing guesses and got some of them right!
