Week beginning 11th September 2023
This week in art, we have been using string and a range of mark marking media to 'mark our mark'. We have been learning the difference between horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines and how to 'cross hatch'. We practised making different lines using string and then turned these into works of art in the style of the artist 'Bridget Riley'.
In gymnastics this week, Y1 have been working on spinning movements, balances and finishing positions and Y2 have been balancing on different body parts. We all enjoyed a turn on the climbing frame too!
