Week beginning 26th September

This week we have been reading the lovely story Owl babies about a family of baby owls who live in a hole in the trunk of a tree with their mother.  As part of our topic, we linked the story to our own families and where we live.  The children have been drawing pictures of their own homes and making their own houses in the craft area and also building them in the indoor and outdoor construction areas.  Have a look at some of our fantastic work!

We have been creating houses using junk modelling.

We have been making our own music!

We have been building houses both indoors and outdoors!

Some children have been finding leaves, grass and sticks to cook with in our outdoor mud kitchen!

Today in maths the children lined themselves up in the order of size from the tallest to the smallest child!

We had an amazing time in Golden time playing with our teddies. We had juice and popcorn too!
