Week beginning 26th February
What an impressive effort the children have made this week, crafting, editing and publishing their own stories based on the mesmerising short film, Replay. The whole class have loved producing their own stories about Lana and Theo, a sister and brother who must live in an underground bunker in a post-apocalyptic world. Memories from a forgotten past lead Theo to escape the bunker in search of a better world where children are free to be children, breathe clean air and play together in a safe environment.
As we are now in the Spring term and fast approaching the SATs testing week, we have been using our Maths lessons to explore Ratio, Scale and Proportion. This means we have been solving problems involving the relative sizes of two quantities where missing values can be found by using integer multiplication and division facts. In addition, we have worked on reasoning and problem solving questions involving unequal sharing and grouping using knowledge of fractions and multiples.
