Week beginning 27th March

Today we had a fantastic time taking part in  our Big Lent Walk with some of our Year 6 buddies. We completed 5 laps of Burnage High’s field, which equates to approximately 75km in total for all the children! Fabulous effort! We loved having our buddies with us to keep us company and lots of fun was had by all, despite the rain! Well done children!

Don’t forget you can sponsor your child at

We have also had a visit from a real poet. We all worked together to write a class poem using similes and alliteration. We then created our ‘Pet Monster’.

We have new resources in our classroom this week! The children are loving exploring them!

We’ve been creating our own story maps of the Three Little Pigs to help us orally retell the story. We’ve also made houses of straw, sticks and bricks.

We’ve started collecting natural finds from our forest with our year 5 and 6 buddies to create our Easter garden, ready for next week.

Our Easter garden is coming together nicely. The children have been working hard with their Y5/6 buddies planting flowers and seeds.
