International Artist Week- Bisa Butler. In Y5 we are admiring and recreating the beautiful quilted textile work of African-American artist Bisa Butler. She uses traditional South African and Ghanaian print to create stunning portraits of celebrated and unknown faces of African heritage.
Artist workshop- the children were creating their own piece of Bisa Butler artwork with the support of an artist. They used African prints to celebrate unknown African-American faces of the 1930s and 1940s. What amazing pieces of art!
