Year 6 had a very creative time celebrating World Book Day. As we have been reading and learning about the Ancient Maya Civilisation in History, they painted some fantastics Maya masks with feathered headdresses as a symbol of their status. In addition, the children loved participating in our 'Come Dine with Me' experience to guess the book characters associated with different plates of food, some proved much trickier than others. To finish the week, they took part in an Altru drama workshop where they acted out freeze frames from the first Harry Potter book and finally they each made their own wonderful book character out of a wooden spoon. Can you name these well known book characters?
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
