Week beginning 8th January 2024
This week we completed our Science unit on 'Living things and their habitat' in which we studied classification and micro-organisms and carried out an investigation to find the ideal conditions for fungus to grow. The children learned how to classify living things into broad groups according to common observable characteristics and based on similarities and differences, including microorganisms, plants and animals. This necessited them giving reasons for thier classifications based on specific characteristics. They particularly enjoyed learning about bacteria and creating micro-organisms from plasticine clay.
