Week beginning 3rd October

Our Class Mass

We celebrated Mass this morning and children were a credit to St Bernard's.

The theme for our class mass this week was our class saint, Saint Therese.

Like St Therese, children did little things in extraordinary ways: reading, singing and  the offertory.

Parishioners commented on how lovely it was to hear their lovely singing and were impressed by the clear, loud reading.

Thank you to all the families and parishioners who joined us. Thank you to Luke and Miss Jones for being our musical accompaniment and supporting us all with the preparation for our mass.

As Father Joseph suggested let us all start to say Yes! more.

Most of all, well done to the fantastic Year5/6 class.

(A very proud) Mrs Rhodes.

Science Investigation - Can we regrow a plant?

Children worked in teams of scientists to examine, dissect and replant parts of the plant.

We are looking forward to seeing how our investigation develops and are keeping a close eye on our classroom windowsil.
We will keep you posted!

Blitz Poetry and Dance

Still image for this video
Children worked in teams to write their own poems and presented these poems through dance.
It was captivating to watch all the performances. Children agreed that the movement and participation in the dance above were fantastic. To improve, this group decided they could add more words next time.
