Week beginning 14th November

What a fantastic start to 'Anti-bullying' week here in school. We began by wearing odd socks to celebrate our differences. We read a story called 'Have you filled a bucket today?' which talks about how we can spread kindness and love to those around us. We then sent a smile around the circle to all our friends. On Tuesday we had a real scientist visit our school. He did some fantastic experiments for us which helped us to understand about what you can and cannot put down the toilet......ask your child about the 3 p's!!!!!!!!

The children have been making their own odd socks this week!

We've been decorating our handprints for a whole school display for anti-bullying week

In maths Reception have been exploring the numbers 4 and 5 this week. We've been counting objects outside and exploring what those numbers are made up of.

We've even been singing This Little Light of Mine outside on the stage!

This week for anti-bullying week we have been reading stories about friendship and today we read the story of Rainbow Fish. We had a lovely discussion afterwards about what makes a good friend. We made a kindness chain and all said something kind about the person next to us. The children then made their own rainbow fish and gave their friends a special shiny scale to show how much they care.

Today we had a visit from two year 6 buddies - we had so much fun. They read us stories and we even made them friendship bracelets!

We recorded a short clip of our friendship song we’ve been learning for Anti-bullying week! Have a look!
