Week beginning 1st May

Today we have been busy writing instructions for a tea party and decorating our coronation plates. We have also been counting out jewels to decorate a crown and counting how many altogether.

Our outdoor area has been a hive of activity this week! Lots of building, enjoying the sun sitting at the tables in the mud kitchen and lots of role play using our new bank, dessert shop, coffee shop and pizza delivery service!

Building a castle fit for a king indoors!

We’re having an amazing Coronation celebration day. We acted out the coronation and crowned our king while the Queen Consort watched

We made our own crowns and wore them while we had our coronation lunch.

We’ve been getting creative outdoors!

We took part in a fantastic workshop this afternoon all about King Charles and the Coronation. We had a fun filled afternoon!

Some of our caterpillars are starting to spin their cocoons! Exciting times in EYFS!

I hope you enjoyed viewing our fabulous coronation plates this morning and are looking forward to your child bringing them home tonight.

We had a wonderful coronation tea party in golden time and just about avoided the rain. We then moved inside for a game of pin the Jewel on the coronation crown. We even had some Year 6 buddies join us! Lots of fun was had by all!
