Week beginning 11th November 2024
Remembrance day: As part of our learning about events in living memory in history, we have been remembering those who gave their lives for us in the wars. We have talked about Remembrance Sunday and the laying of poppy wreaths at memorials. In class, we made our own memorials and medals for being brave.
Stay and play: This week we welcomed our families into school for the first of our stay and play sessions. It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers joining us for the session and supporting the children in their learning. This week we focused on how we can be a good friend and how we show respect as part of our antibullying week work.
In maths, we have been making 10 in different ways and counting in decades.
To finish our focus on 'respect' during anti bullying week, we shared our class banner at assembly. We recognise that we are all different but we all follow the 'St Bernard's way' and treat others how we want to be treated.
