Week beginning 11th November

Remembrance Day began our week and we commemorated this with our own poems based on a Grandpa talking to his grandson about his memories of the war. At 11 O'clock, the children were very respectful during our two minute silence and held on to the poppies they had made, while thinking about the lost soldiers and the brave battles they fought.

This week was Anti-Bullying Week and we completed lots of activities on this year's theme: Choose Respect.

We each designed our own sock to represent ourselves and show how we are all different by looks and interests, but we are all equal and our uniqueness is what makes us special.

Playing the 'Respect' board game...

We sat in pairs/groups to complete a speaking and listening activity. We had to chat about a given topic for a couple of minutes and then feedback whether each of us had been respectfully listening without interruption and what we had learned about the other person.
