Week beginning 10th March

The week started with another lovely Stay and Pray session, followed by some lovely play with our grown ups. 🥰

Spring was in the air on Monday at forest school

It’s British Science week this week! We’re continuing our theme of growing. We’ve already planted beans, we’re looking after some basil and mint on our growing table. Today we planted some strawberry plants so we can look after them and hopefully eat them when they’re fully grown and ripe.

In maths Nursery have been counting out a given number of food items for the giant and Reception have been learning how we can use a timer to count how many actions we can do in a given time frame.

In our final week of Jack and the Beanstalk, the children are still producing some fabulous work- great buildings and junk modelling castles and fabulous play dough and drawings of beanstalks .

Our science day was very messy but lots of fun! We made our own volcano erupt, we planted cress seeds, we explored the texture of gloop, we made colourful potions and we observed how raisins dance when put into lemonade.
