Week beginning 19th May

With the arrival of our caterpillars and our chicks 🐣 growing by the day, we’re having great fun looking after our ‘pets’ this week.

We’ve been drawing chicks, making pictures of them and creating play dough csterpillars.

We watched the NSPCC Speak out Stay safe assembly today and talked about different ways children can be hurt and which safe adults they can speak to if they are worried about something. The children listened really well and gave some great answers. They also recognised a couple of familiar faces who were presenting.🙂

We’ve been active outside too.

We enjoyed welcoming some Year 4 friends who came to see the chicks in our class today.

Today we said a fond farewell to the chicks but we had a wonderful rewards morning. We took part in yoga and gym as well as having a session in the forest. This afternoon we made sandwiches and decorated cakes to eat at our outdoor VE Day tea party! It was a lovely end to a short but very busy half term.
