In English, the children have been working hard to compose, draft write, edit and up-level their own diary entry about finding a mythical creature.
In PSHCE, we listened to a story about a girl called Zoya who loved her hair, until she saw an advert on tv, which implied that she needed to 'improve' it by getting rid of the frizz. We had a class discussion about the intention of advertising and how information can be interpreted and spread on social media. Finally, we created our own everyday character called Alex and looked how his real self compared to his social media version of himself.
