This week is Children’s Mental Health week and in EYFS we have been talking about ways we can keep our minds healthy, happy and calm. We have been talking about zones of regulation and thinking of strategies we can use to stay in the green “ happy” zone. Today we took part in a combined therapy session which involved music and yoga. In class we used peer massage as a way to relax and make ourselves feel calm.
The nursery children have impressed us this week by making some fabulous playdough models then writing the first letter in their name when labelling them!
Our police station opened today in the outdoor area and it was very popular. There were lots of parking and speeding tickets given out to our bike riders!
Elsewhere there has been some lovely collaborative play both inside and outside the classroom.
Golden time this week was yoga, massage and a lovely story about Ruby’s worries while we had toast and juice.
