Week beginning 3rd February
Wednesday 5th February was Children’s Mental Health Day, so this week we have completed lots of activities relating to our mental health…
We began the week reading 'Grobblechops' which teaches us how to make friends with our fears, instead of fighting them. On Monday, we thought about our own fears and then each created a personalised worry monster...

We discussed and drew the five main characters from Disney's Inside Out film, which represent our different emotions: joy, anger, disgust, sadness and fear. Subsequently, we thought about times when we might feel scared, recognising that everyone feels scared sometimes and looking at ways we could deal with our fears...

We worked in groups to act out the Grobblechops story and discussed how the characters felt...

We changed perspectives and considered the feelings of Grobblechops throughout the story...

On Wednesday, all classes experienced sound therapy, yoga and peer massage. We thought carefully about how we can recognise and manage our feelings and our reactions to others...

We filled our own sparkle jar with something that makes us happy, something we are proud of, something we are grateful for, someone who makes us smile and something that made us laugh...
