It has been lovely starting each week with so many parents and carers joining us for Stay and Pray this half term. This week was no different with Greg talking to us about being a shining light in our classroom and showing love to each other. This links so well with our focus on Children’s Mental Health week. We read the story of the colour monster. We talked about the different emotions and the colours that represented each emotion. Our class message this week is “ we all feel different emotions and that’s ok.” We even made our own colour monsters.
We enjoyed hearing about Bernie’s weekend adventures! He even arrived back at school with a new woolly jumper to keep him warm!❤️
In forest school we made bird feeders and had lots of fun playing a bird matching game.
As part of mental health week, we’ve been taking part in yoga, peer massage and listening to different pieces of music and talking about how they make us feel. We even drew self portraits showing how we’re feeling.
Elsewhere in the classroom.
Rewards morning was a resounding success. We made crafts, cards, decorated biscuits and took part in a dance session. We found out we have some budding professional dancers in our class.
