This week, the children have been engaging exceptionally well across all subjects.
In Maths, we have been learning how to add and subtract fractions, using a variety of visual activities to make the lessons both engaging and enjoyable.
During Art this week, we read the biblical story ‘Peter walks on water’. Children created storyboards for this story using drawing techniques inspired by our class artist, Claude Monet.
In RE, our focus has been on exploring our identity and understanding who we are. The children shared their hobbies, interests, strengths and areas they’d like to improve. This discovered how we share similarities while also celebrating our differences. To deepen this understanding, the class created a “Who Are We?” web, passing a ball of string to peers who shared something in common with them. Some lovely examples included connections between children who enjoy football or those who have brown hair!
Finally, a big well done to everyone who has been completing their homework tasks so enthusiastically. I am extremely impressed with the effort and creativity shown and can’t wait to see even more fantastic work over the coming weeks.
