Week 1
We had a fun science lesson this week! We have started our new science unit on rocks and our first lesson was learning the process of fossilisation. We started off the lesson by handling some real life fossils and discussed the different types. To help the children understand the fossilisation process, we made our own "fossils" out of clay and plaster of paris. The children were very proud of their fossils and should be able to teach you all about the process at home!
Year 3 have been focusing on partitioning 3 digit numbers using base ten blocks in different ways. We made sure we were secure with our manipulatives before moving onto our pictoral representations with the written equations. The children worked in pairs and were using fantastic vocabulary as they supported each other!
