Welcome back to school and to the Spring term! We hope everyone had a lovely break and is ready for a new term of learning.

In Year 6K, we have been learning how to multiply and divide by 10, 100 and 1,000. We learned that when multiplying, the digits move to the left, and when dividing, the digits move to the right:

• 10 – move one place

• 100 – move two places

• 1,000 – move three places

•  

The children practised explaining their answers using place value.
