Week 3
Wow! What an amazing, hands on week we have had this week! We designed our clay houses, talking about whether the features we were adding were going to be positive or negative before creating some masterpieces! We then did our Science week learning. Our big question was: How do birds build their nest? We went to the forest area and collected sticks and twigs, them the children were provided with some clay to use in lieu of mud. They then had to make a nest that would pass three tests. They had to be able to be held in the air without eggs dropping through (if they passed this test they could eat the chocolate eggs they tested with!) they had to stand up to wind and rain (we used a fan and the tap!)
