In our English lessons - linking into our Romans history unit - we have been reading 'Roman Invasion' by Jim Eldridge. The story is set in Celtic Britain (84AD) and features a main character named Bran, who is prince of the Carvetii tribe (Celts) and a self-confessed warrior. After reading the chapter where Bran is captured by the Romans, taking him hostage, we went outdoors and acted out the battle scene.
