What a wonderful start to Holy week. We were joined by so many parents for our prayer time on Monday when we remembered Palm Sunday. We re-enacted the story, sang a song, we even pretended we were part of the crowd and sang as we marched around the outdoor area. We decorated our palm leaves and started making our Easter cards.
Today the children took part in another wonderful liturgy about the Last Supper. We learnt about Jesus’ last meal with the twelve Disciples and how He wants us to remember Him and love each other the way He loves us.
We had great fun taking part in a scavenger hunt in the outdoor area to find images linked to the Last Supper.
Have a look at some of our Easter artwork.
We ended Holy Week with a liturgy about the Crucifixion. We talked out our Easter garden and what the different parts symbolise and how brave Jesus was to die for us. We ended the liturgy by decorating a cross for Jesus to show how much He loves us and how much we love Him.
As it’s our last day in school, we had Easter treats today too! We made chocolate cornflake cakes to take home and we sang some songs with the guitar.
