Thursday was SO much fun, celebrating World Book Day! We all came into school dressed in our pyjamas to focus on comfort while reading for enjoyment. In advance, we sent in photos of us reading with our families for a school competition and subsequently we were delighted to have parents, carers - and even our teddies - join us at the start and end of the day, to listen to our reading and participate in a range of exciting reading-themed activities. We did 'Show and Tell' about our favourite book and created bookmarks, word searches, door hangers, mini story books, front covers for real or imaginary books and our own story characters. Finally, our very busy day ended when we performed our 5-word poems for our parents and listened to a class story. Take a look...
