Week beginning 3rd November

The children have made a wonderful start to the new half term. Both Reception and Nursery are starting a new English units with animals as some of the characters. We had some fantastic hedgehogs made in the malleable area as well as some fantastic farm buildings created collaboratively in the construction area.

We heard all about Bernie’s adventures over the half term holiday when he spent it with a member of our class who took him on an aeroplane,

We had great fun in forest school making firework themed sparky wands. A lovely way to introduce our learning about bonfire night this week!

We’ve been busy making our own wonderful sparkly bonfire night pictures as well as a large class firework picture.

In Reception, we have been learning about circles and triangles and today we went on a shape hunt around school. The children were fantastic and even spotted some squares and rectangles.

Nursery have been practising their listening skills by playing sleeping giant and listening carefully to find out who stole his bells.
