Week beginning 8th September 2025

On Monday, in recognition of Mother Mary's Birthday, the children made some beautiful cards with Mary's own special symbol on the front.

In English, we are reading a wonderful book which links to our history work - 'Roman Invasion' written by Jim Eldridge. The story is about a young prince of the Carvetii tribe who is captured by the Romans, along with several family members. After reading the first few chapters, we went into our Forest Area to re-enact the story so far...

The children were amazing in their first school swimming lesson. They were quickly grouped according to their ability and then listened carefully, following the instructions and trying their hardest to improve these very important life skills. Here they are on the swimming bus, heading over to the baths...

Our class saint this year, is the newly-canonized Saint Carlo Acutis, who was only aged 15 when he sadly passed away with Leukemia, in 2006. The children used the iPads to research how he devoted his short life to Catholicism and used the internet to spread the word about Eucharistic miracles.
