This week, we have continued our journey through Narnia as we’ve explored the next chapters of The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. We’ve learned how the Witch tries to bribe Edmund with a feast of Turkish delight and it became clear that many children in our class have never tasted Turkish delight so we thought we’d give it a try. We talked about the war time period that our story is set in and brought back our History knowledge of rationing and how it felt to be an evacuee. This helped us to understand how easy it was to bribe Edmund with this delicious treat. Everyone found the two flavours; rose & lemon, interesting and it has definitely got us all in the mood for watching the show at The Lowry on Thursday.
