Year 2/3

Welcome to Year 3 class, taught by Mrs Hill and Mr Tsappas and supported by Mrs Yasin.

Things to remember:

  • Please bring a water bottle into school every day - Hydration is key as water regulates the body and brain, setting up mental performance for the day.
  • Children should have a waterproof coat in school, every day, as British weather is very changeable.
  • Mondays- P.E. lesson - suitable footwear is required
  • Homework and spellings: Copies of the relevant spellings will be put in your child's reading record on a weekly basis on a Monday. Your child will be tested on these spellings the following Monday. Homework will be sent out in your child's orange homework book on a Friday. Please return it for the following Friday.

For your information, children are expected to know their times tables by the end of Year 4 and should learn them in the correct order. Ideally, they should keep practicing for short sessions each day and not try to learn a new table until they have mastered the ones that go before.  I find that a very effective way to learn is to music…For now, please focus on getting the following times tables secure with your children at home:
